Andy Farrell has quit as Saracens head coach, according to Sky Sports sources.

Farrell had turned down an approach to join the England coaching staff back in April to commit to Saracens.

Farrell initially joined England on secondment during the RBS Six
Nations - and made a big impression working alongside head coach Stuart
Lancaster and assistant Graham Rowntree.

Farrell, though, had stated at the time that he was staying with
Saracens "as a club, we have barely scratched the surface of our
potential. The job isn't anywhere near half done, and I have decided I
want to help finish the job".

However the former dual-code international, who had impressed
alongside England head coach Stuart Lancaster and assistant Graham
Rowntree during the RBS Six Nations, has now gone back on that decision
and opted to leave the club.

Kevin Sorrell, who had been part of the backroom staff at Saracens,
is now set to step up to become head coach, with Farrell free to team up
with England.
